with honors, and will be attending Georgetown University in the fall.
After living in Hartford for the past year, Jeff and Merriah
have returned to the Phoenix area, where they each have accepted new career opportunities.
Heather, J.R. and David
are back in Iowa, much to the grandparents' (Edie
and Dave's) delight.
Ashley, now 15 months old, has recently
learned to walk, and she has her proud parents (Cindy
and David) scrambling to keep up with her.
Has anyone heard from Rolf?
Jay, Erin, and Nathan
are back in Williston with their dad John
for the summer. Jay is eager to
begin working on his driver's license.
Cindy, Mike, and Ashley can be seen running
along the lake on Saturday mornings.

taking photography and snow-boarding classes this summer. Her school activities
include guitar, water polo, and baseball.

-- whatever (??) that may be.
Sterling completed his first year at
Landmark College and is back in Napa working for the summer.
Jamie and Bonnie
plan to attend the Johnson family reunion in October (for descendants of Neva's maternal
grandparents, Senator M.N. Johnson and his wife Stella White Johnson). A large
Johnson family gathering is being planned by long-lost "cousin" Jon Fitch, and will include visits to the Stella
White family ancestral sites.
Neva's cousin, Dorothy McVickers, will be
94 this summer and her birthday will be celebrated at the Johnson family reunion.
Longevity runs in Neva's family; it must be those hardy Norwegian genes.
Another of Neva's cousins,
Jane Woodward, recently stopped in Seattle to visit
with Heather
and Jamie,
along with her son Lee and his wife.
Audrey continues to enjoy working in her
home and her garden.
Now that he is retired, Mike is working
on his golf game, pursuing the elusive hole-in-one. With a recent eagle maybe
that hard work is beginning to pay off.
Mark recently had (another) hole-in-one
-- his second -- and Mark is not even retired yet. Sorry, Mike!
As teachers, both Bonnie and Heather can once again breathe a sigh of relief --
the school year has ended and it is the start of their summer vacations.
Bud and Neva
celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on June 29, 1999.
John is successfully on the road to
recovery from neck surgery and is eager to resume his golf game.
Rob and Sarah
will be married on July 3. Rob
recently completed his pharmacy training. Double congratulations, Rob!
Arran continues to be everyone's favorite
sportscaster out there in Chico, CA.
Edie and Dave
recently returned from an extensive trip to China. Next stop, Norway!
Bud celebrates his 93rd birthday on

Jamie is still trying to recover from the
